    Dogs are by nature social animals and therefore do not thrive in isolation. Planet Pooch provides a serene and peaceful environment for sleepovers in the company of a person and other dogs.

    Sleepovers Feel Like Home

    The best thing about sleepovers at Planet Pooch is that your dog sleeps in an environment that feels just like home. We have dog beds, comfy human beds with a human to cuddle with. Crates are available if you or your dog prefer. We have separate yet adjacent areas for dogs who are space protective, destructive or have been groomed the night before pick up. Your dog enjoys a comfortable and secure night under the watchful eye of a well trained attendant.

    Peace and Quiet

    Our sleepover room is constructed to keep scary and disturbing sounds, such as fireworks and thunder, out. We have sound dampening acoustic wall treatments and soothing ocean sounds throughout. We provide separate yet adjacent accommodations for dogs who don’t share space well, are destructive or have been groomed the night before pick up. The result is a restful nights sleep allowing your pooch to enjoy their exciting day in the playgroup.

    Someone Special For Your Dog To Cuddle

    Planet Pooch sleepovers are tremendously special to us and your pooch. Only a real dog lover can spend the night surrounded by a group of fun-loving dogs. That’s why we especially look for a night watch that will give your pooch the utmost care and love. With so few people like that, we decided to allow them to be their own sole proprietors. When you pay for sleepover service, you support your night watch directly, whether through check or cash. We’ll let you know the details when you check-in or check-out.

  • Overnight Slumber Starting At $33

    Only dogs who have gone through the daycare admissions process at Planet Pooch are eligible for sleepovers. Also, your dog must attend at least one full day (6 hours) of daycare before their first overnight visit. A friendliness evaluation is required before your dog’s first sleepover.     Evaluation

    Bring your dog in and we’ll measure their sociability. We start with one canine ambassador that makes most dogs feel safe and comfortable. Then, we bring your dog into the playgroup area to interact with dogs representing various behaviors your pooch may encounter. Finally, we add more dogs to see if your dog remains confident. A tour of the facility and a quick overview of the pick-up and drop-off procedures finish the process.

  • Sleepover Policies

    Planet Pooch is one of the safest doggie daycare facilities in the Bay Area because we strictly monitor and enforce our safety policies. We’re proud to say that because of our top commitment to safety, Planet Pooch has the lowest accident level of doggie daycares in the San Francisco Bay Area/Peninsula. So when your pooch starts daycare, you must agree to abide by those same safety policies that make Planet Pooch fun.

    Special Payments

    Sleepover payments must be paid by cash or check to the individual who cares for your pooch while not at Planet Pooch daycare.

    Daycare Required

    Your dog must attend daycare if he/she is spending the night. All dogs must attend at least one full day (6 hours) of daycare before their first overnight visit.

    Collar & Nametag Policy

    All dogs must wear a soft quick-release collar with a name tag. Leather or cloth is fine and no metal collars are allowed. A dog without a name tag will have one made for a $10 fee, with or without notice.

    Leash Policy

    We enforce leash laws at Planet Pooch. Your dog must be leashed when you drop him/her off and you must have a leash when you pick him or her up.

    Late Policy

    Please be prompt about picking up your pooch after daycare or boarding. Our late fee is $1/minute for every minute after your pick-up time. If you are 30 or more minutes late, your pooch will be boarded overnight for an additional $30.

    Cancellation Policy

    We have a 24-hour cancellation policy. If you cannot attend a scheduled visit for any reason, please notify us by noon the day before. A late cancellation or no show will result in a charge for that day.

    Reservation Policy

    Please reserve your pooch's visit as far in advance as possible. Space is available on a first-come, first-served basis, so save the stress and plan early. It also helps to book reoccurring days (i.e. every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday). If you have reoccurring days, please let us know at least 24 hours in advance of any schedule changes or you will be charged for missed days. We do not automatically stop booking you when you run out of days in your pack. Let us know of any cancellations otherwise we will charge you for missed days when you renew.

    Food & Medication Policy

    We will feed and/or medicate your pooch at no additional charge. You must separate each meal for the day into separate plastic bags and label them with your dog's name, your last name, breed, and AM or PM feeding. Bins to drop-off food are located near the sign-in book. We cannot store food or medications unless your dog is boarding at the time, so do not bring more than one day's supply. If you do not individually bag each meal you will be charged $1/meal fee.

    Sick Dog Policy

    If your pooch is sick, please take him/her to the vet. We reserve the right to refuse a visit if your dog arrives sick or flea-infested. If your pooch becomes sick while at Planet Pooch, we will either quarantine the dog until you can pick him/her up or we will take the dog to our vet if we deem it necessary. You will be responsible for any vet bills.

    Safely Separate Policy

    As the sleepover periods are a minimum of 12 hours, it is sometimes necessary for the attendant to break for meals, personal hygiene, bathroom breaks, physical activity, etc. In these instances, we will leave the dogs sleeping and safely separated in our sleep room, which may include crating. We also safely separate if the attendant is managing a medical emergency. If it necessary to leave the campus, a manager is on call to take over if needed.

    Alternate Person Pick-Up Policy

    You must notify us if someone else is picking up your dog. You are also responsible for making sure that any person who picks-up or drops-off your dog is aware of all policies.

    Re-Acquaintance Policy

    Any dog that has not been to Planet Pooch in the last 3 months may be required to have another test day before attending daycare or sleepovers again.

    Holiday Surcharge Policy

    For sleepovers during Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Years, we require a $75 deposit to reserve. The deposit is fully refundable when you check-in to daycare or if you provide 2 weeks cancellation notice, otherwise it is forfeited. Please book holidays in advance as space fills quickly. If your first choice of location is fully booked, try our other location if it’s convenient for you.
